Land & Lore is a skincare brand that’s all about simplicity. But believe this: creating and designing a skincare line that’s all about simplicity is anything but simple.

Here’s a look behind the curtain: What went into the creation of Land & Lore?

The Land

The ingredients are a big part of the story. Our team worked diligently with scientists and experts to come up with a skincare line made with natural ingredients from the land blended with powerful technology. But we also wanted it to feel simple and clean on the skin, delivering natural but nurturing ingredients directly to your dermis.

The skincare uses powerful modern ingredients—like hyaluronic acid, peptide complex, and caffeine—combined with ancient ingredients—like witch hazel, aloe vera, and jojoba oil—that humans have been using to heal and soothe skin for thousands of years.

The Look

Our design team wanted to hint at the lore behind the ingredients in the skincare without going all “Lord of the Rings” on you. (Don’t get us wrong, we love a good epic tale as much as anyone, just not on a skincare product bottle.)

We fell somewhere in between ancient and the future, or at least that’s what we think. The designers looked at dozens and dozens of prototypes for Land & Lore packaging: clear bottles, green bottles, white bottles, and ultimately settled on a deep amber bottle.

It's a standout. It’s natural. It’s classic. And best of all, it protects the product from light damage that cheaper packages are prone to.
