Our founder Mark Hasebroock is a back to basics family man. He knew nothing about skin care prior to jumping into the creation of Land & Lore. However, after hundreds of hours of research and formulation and his naive approach of always asking “What’s that for and can we just simplify it...” he created the skincare products he wanted. Over his career, he has overseen the management or investment in more than 50 brands, including Bulu, Summersalt, Amify and AddStructure. He also co-founded hayneedle.com, giftcertificates.com and now runs Dundee Venture Capital, which provides seed funding to startups across the middle 2/3 of the USA. 

He problem solves, which is why he created Land & Lore: to solve the struggle of finding a simple, yet effective, skincare line. He believes everyone can benefit from simplicity. Mark still plays hockey twice a week for Team Au in the Beer and Pretzel Hockey League; competes in triathlons and has completed 13 marathons. Yet, he loves the simple nature of the products he’s created at Land & Lore and think they help solve that problem so many men face: simple products, clean ingredients that work for you.
